Off we went to Kamas, UT to try our best at our first triathlon. We thought we would do OK seeing as how we didn't really train but for a week. But out of no where Thayne takes first place in his age group. He would have been the overall champion but he forgot to get up from the pool and run to the finish line as we were told before the race started. But we were glad actually because he got a cool medal to wear around his neck instead of a plaque that we wouldn't hang on our wall. He wore his medal to church on Sunday to show off a bit.
After the race we cruised through the Unitahs and then went to the outlet mall where we spent 2 hours looking for pants for Thayne. Then since we had our Carshare car for the whole day we decided to go down to Provo and try out this Chilean restaurant Thayne has heard great things about. And it was true. The empanadas were awesome and my churasco palta sandwich was amazing. So all in all it was a crazy adventure.
